Nicole Keeley is an experimental photographer whose passion for theory underpins her artistic practice. Her research deals with the problem of effect being lost in an oversaturated world of images. Her practice explores the meaning of the Swedish word ‘hemmeblind’, a concept that expresses the blindness we all experience to familiar surroundings, due to routine. Nicole is exploring the process of making the invisible, visible. With this, she is photographing the unseen reality of deteriorating mental health and more recently, the destructive nature of man-kind and the topic of sustainability.
