As a photographer, Megan Harding’s main area of focus is in fashion, creating works that intrigue and entice the audience. Her work is concentrated around the idea of sustainability around the world, particularly focusing on the fast fashion industry and the damage it causes on the environment. Megan works within a digital format and then makes use of post-production to create different atmospheres depending on the theme of different issues within sustainability.

 

Some major influences for Megan’s work are artists such as David LaChapelle and Annie Lebovitz. The themes that LaChapelle uses play a major part within her own practice, and Lebovitz’s imagery consists of highly produced and post-production edits, these highly aesthetically pleasing images are something Megan draws from in her own work.

 

Megan hopes for her work to help raise awareness around sustainability and the environment through fashion photography, reaching different audiences that may not necessarily see environmentally aware images.
